Making sure that these things are taken care of before leaving for a vacation can save you tons of time, money and headache. Here are some helpful tips for you to go over before leaving to help ensure you do not come home to a waterfall INSIDE your home:
- Check sinks, toilets, pipes, thoroughly for any leaks that may be currently happening
- Clean your gutters and downspouts
- Replace supply lines regularly
- Ask someone to check in on your home while you’re away
- Turn off the main water valve
- Install leak detection sensor
- Test the stump pump
- Only run appliances while you are home
